Stream setups and equipment
Directly from the gaming console
Built into many xBoxes or consoles you can hit the "start" streaming button. But if you try to stream wirelessly, it will probably disconnect often unless your Internet is really good. You'll most likely need:
- Console
- Headset
- Internet
- Phone to monitor chat
Single PC Setup
Just download some version of OBS or another client, log into Twitch or insert your streamkey, and voila!
Your equipment may include:
- Monitor(s) - 1 for gameplay, (optional) 1 for monitoring your stream/chat/etc.
- Mouse/Controller & Keyboard
- PC/Mac
- Internet
- Microphone / (optional) Mic Interface if you use XLR
- Headphones
- Webcam (optional) or DSLR with HDMI to USB converter (We love to see faces!)
- Capture card if you're streaming a console into your computer
Dual PC Setup
Just basically double your single PC setup, but now you need to get a capture card and route your main PC sound over to your streaming PC.
- 2 monitors (one for each PC at least)
- Mouse/Controller & Keyboard
- 2 PCs (one with a really good graphics card/CPU for your gaming, and one with a strong CPU for streaming)
- 1 capture card for PC to other PC / another capture card for console to PC if you want
- Internet
- Headphones
- Microphone
- Webcam
